He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. In addition, Dr. Alvarado serves as a consultant to the Georgia Board of Dentistry on Anesthesia and is on staff at South Georgia Medical Center, where he has served as the chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery for several years.
