With more than 40 years of knowledge and executive experience in Fortune 500 and private healthcare services companies, Richard “Rick” Hall provides visionary leadership and strong strategy execution. A former U.S. Marine, Rick has an ideal combination of organization, discipline, leadership skills and wisdom to help companies reach their goals. In addition, he has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and is a natural networker, seamlessly connecting people together.

Rick joined USOSM in February of 2018 as employee No. 3 and has shepherded the company through its early growth and continued development, helping to shape USOSM’s vision and trajectory. Under his leadership, USOSM has grown to include 57 partner practices, with 147 clinical locations, across 21 states.

“When I was contacted about USOSM, I was really excited about the possibilities,” notes Rick. “As a serial operating executive in the private equity space, this is where I wanted to stay. This is my ninth role in a PE-backed business and I enjoy the fast pace, results-orientation and the sense of urgency required in these businesses. I also liked and respected our sponsors and the shared vision we had for the company, as well as the model aligning financial incentives with the partner surgeons and being first-to-market in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. It’s always good to be first-to-market.”

Previously, Rick served as president and CEO of Oncology Services International, the world’s largest independent services organization specializing in radiation therapy equipment. Rick guided the company through a significant transformation and successful sale to a prominent, private equity firm. During his career, he has held a number of additional, leadership positions.

He served as president of Alliance Oncology and senior vice president of business development, marketing and physician recruitment for US Oncology. Prior to that, he served as COO of PatientKeeper, president of the acute care division at McKesson Corporation and owner/chairman of BrightStar Care. Rick began his career with American Hospital Supply, a company well respected for developing healthcare services leaders.

A strong proponent of current and former military, Rick is involved with several nonprofit organizations that support veterans and the families of fallen and disabled service members, including Folds of Honor, The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and Operation Restore Oral Health. In addition, he was recently recognized with the Patriot Award from the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The award honors individuals and companies that actively support employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve.

Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Penn State. In addition, he is a graduate of the executive healthcare program at Duke University.
