By Courtney Harman, Chief Operating Officer

Hello wonderful USOSM team!

It’s hard to believe it’s August, and I know for many of you that is a welcome relief.  Our normally busy 10 week summer became a 14 week summer for most of you, and wow, what a summer you’ve made!  At the beginning of the summer, none of us knew what was before us: Will patients come in? Will staff feel safe? Would referral sources be open? Will people wear masks?

Each of you faced the unknown with courage and determination. I know for many of you this was one of the most difficult summers due to many patients wanting to be seen, many open positions, and having to do your jobs in a new (and sometimes uncomfortable!) way.

I thank you. I thank you for every day that you put on the mask (and the shield, and the gloves, and the gown . . .) to take care of patients.  I thank you for scrambling to find childcare when daycares and schools changed plans. I thank you for coming to the office with a smile, even when you had worries about the world we are living in. Because of each of you, the company made it through a tough season and is stronger than ever.

I am so proud to be associated with USOSM, and it is an absolute honor to work with you day in and day out.

All my Best,
Courtney
